Revealing the right tools for a good life.

Upstream!

It begins with an interview.

Why we write

The kindest, most clever, and engaging people worth knowing live and work along U.S. Route 24 between Roanoke, Indiana, and Eureka, Illinois.

They have honed their craft, made a name for themselves, and are deserving of the spotlight. They embody industriousness; they are resourceful. They’re a lot of fun to get to know.

This publication contains a series of feature stories gathered from interviews and research about the businesses and entrepreneurs on U.S. Route 24. We share their stories to recognize and celebrate the people who make this particular stretch of highway special.

We hope our storytelling style will compel you to read us on a regular basis, picking up a copy of the monthly newsletter from one of our distributors along U.S. Route 24. This unique print and digital publication is made possible through advertising.

Our editorial mission

CURIOUS

Discovery

Our stories offer a refreshing way to look at small towns, rural communities, and midwestern culture. They are told through the individual’s voice. What we aspire to produce with this publication is a testament to individuality. In understanding the heart of individuality, we discover the community’s pulse.

ROOTED

En route

Route is a good word for our editorial purposes. We like it better than the word journey. Life may be a journey but where the rubber meets the road? That’s a route, in our humble opinion; it’s a word far better equipped to set the tone for this publication. Two lanes. No center lines but the dotted kind. Traffic in opposing directions accommodated side-by-side. Where a wave is possible, eye contact too, acknowledging one another’s shared existence on open road.
